The "Climate Pool" – Floridsdorf Indoor Swimming Pool

New acoustic ceiling in the wet area with MUTE+® board S40-B

Following comprehensive renovations, the Floridsdorf indoor swimming pool now presents itself as a pioneering "climate-friendly pool." Heat pumps and photovoltaics significantly reduce energy consumption, while the pool hall, children's areas, and sauna landscape have been functionally and aesthetically reorganized.

A special highlight is the ceiling in the children's area: the Lindner Group realized an individually designed, wave-shaped acoustic baffle ceiling here using MUTE+® board S40-B. Its shape takes up the theme of water and defines the room with a modern, vibrant look.

The integrated, indirect lighting emphasizes the wave structure while simultaneously ensuring uniform illumination of the water surface.

For the demanding environment of the indoor pool, a swimming-pool-compatible and corrosion-resistant acoustic baffle system was used. In this way, MUTE+® board S40-B combines design freedom with reliable function: the acoustic ceiling reduces the noise level in the heavily used children's area and noticeably improves the quality of stay.
