In September 2024, the Zurich University of Teacher Education opened its new premises in the Leutschentower in Zurich-Oerlikon – a 500 m² Collaborative Learning Lab as a pilot environment for innovative university teaching and modern working methods. The aim was to create a flexible and future-oriented educational setting – technically advanced, functional, and sustainable.
Acoustics that enable concentrated learning
To achieve optimal room acoustics in office and learning areas, Lindner installed MUTE+® board wall absorbers. These dimensionally stable, particularly lightweight elements made of high-density polyester effectively absorb sound and create a pleasant environment for concentrated work and learning.
The fit-out was complemented by sound-absorbing Plafotherm® heated and chilled canopy ceilings and high-quality wooden interior doors – a well-conceived combination of acoustics, energy efficiency, and functional quality for forward-looking educational institutions.
